The showcase is being held on Thurs, April 18th at the Loews Hollywood Hotel, and it is free and open to the public. No ASCAP Expo badge is required. AC hits the stage at 10:30 PM! January 30, 2013 AC FILMING A NEW MUSIC VIDEO! Great news AC fans! AC and the band will be filming a music video for "Not Crazy", one of the scorchin' new tunes from AC's new EP, "AC3". January 4, 2013 AC PLAYING FREE SHOW AT BOARDNERS (AKA CLUB MOSCOW)!  December 4, 2012 AC RELEASES HER "MAKING OF AC3" DOCUMENTARY TODAY! AC has just released her "Making of AC3" documentary today! The doc chronicles the recording process of AC3, and it was even edited by AC herself! Be sure to check out the behind-the-scenes vid starring AC and her band here! November 13, 2012 "AC3" EP AVAILABLE TODAY! Alexx's long awaited EP, titled "AC3" is finally be available via iTunes, Amazon MP3, and all other major online music retailers on today! The EP was produced entirely at home (with the exception of drums) by AC and her producer, Wes Michener, and features 5 rockin' tracks that incorporate AC's alt-grunge influences. The EP is also available on CD in limited quantities on alexxcalise.net, Amazon, and at live shows! The first 100 copies will be autographed, so make sure to get your copy! October 17, 2012 "CRY" INSTRUMENTAL VERSION NOW AVAILABLE ON iTUNES! Due to an outpouring of fans saying they wanted the "Cry" instrumental version for covers and dance routines, AC has just released it on iTunes. Be sure to download it here! AC's hit song, "Cry" has just been featured on Lifetime's "Dance Moms" soundtrack. "Cry" appeared in 4 episodes of the show, and Maddie Ziegler, who danced to the song, appeared in its official video and went on to win several titles with her amazing solo performance. "Cry" also charted at #64 on the iTunes US Rock charts last year! Make sure to download "Cry" from the Dance Moms soundtrack here! May 20, 2012 AC FEATURED ON LIFETIME! Great news all! Lifetime TV just did an awesome writeup of the music video for AC's song, "Cry", which also stars the beautiful and talented Maddie Ziegler, star of Lifetime's "Dance Moms". Maddie had danced to "Cry" in 3 episodes of the show, and even placed first in several of her amateur competitions. It was an awesome video to shoot, and the end result was just beautiful (thanks so much to Maddie, Gianna Martello, Daniel Karp, Dennis Morehouse, Mieko Ito, Tyler Cole and everyone else who helped make this video possible). Ever since those "Dance Moms" episodes aired, "Cry" has literally exploded. People all over the world are seeking out, covering and making tributes using the song, Youtube hits on the song have been in the hundreds of thousands, and "Cry" even charted on the iTunes US Rock Charts at #64 in August of last year. It doesn't stop there however. "Dance Moms" and "Dance Moms: Miami" also used AC's other band, Sound of Cancer's songs, "Darkarnival" and "Need Someone" in other episodes of the shows as well. April 13, 2012 AC IN THE STUDIO AC is in the studio again for solo record 3! AC plans to release 5 songs in the next few months, and then another 5 songs at the end of the year. This time around, AC is going back to basics and working with producer, Wes Michener (Marilyn Manson, Puddle of Mudd, Pixie Lott). The 3rd album promises to be in the more "roots rock" vein, while also channeling some of AC's early nineties influences. Be sure to check out AC recording some scratch tracks and solos, and stay tuned for more info on the recording process! March 19, 2012 AC OPENING FOR METALACHI :) Hey everyone! After a brief hiatus from touring (to write and record the new record), AC is back and ready to rock your faces off once again! The AC band is down to a 3 piece these days, but the sound is still larger than life! Check out AC's big comeback show (where her and the boys will be opening up for the infamous, critically-acclaimed Metalachi!) at Skinny's in North Hollywood, CA on Tues, March 27th! October 13, 2011 SOUND OF CANCER ALBUM AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON OCT 31ST!  The debut album from Sound of Cancer (the collaborative music project of recording artists, Alexx Calise and Dennis Morehouse) will be released to all major online music media outlets on Oct 31st! Called "No Vampires in Gilroy", the album was written and recorded over a period of 3 years, in between Calise and Morehouse's rigorous touring/recording schedules. Formed over 3 years ago by Calise and Morehouse, who had worked together on the song, "In My Pocket" for an independent film of the same name, Sound of Cancer (named after the band's zodiac signs) incorporates elaborate choral harmonies with dysphoric distortion, ominous soundscapes and deeply introspective lyrics reminiscent of rock 'n' roll stalwarts Pink Floyd, Electric Light Orchestra, Portishead, and The Cure. After 3 long years of writing and recording, Alexx's other band, Sound of Cancer (with her drummer, Dennis Morehouse) will finally be releasing their debut album, entitled "No Vampires in Gilroy" in the next 1-2 months. SOC is a complete departure from AC's solo material, and incorporates beautiful vocal harmonies, dysphoric distortion, and darkly introspective lyrics in the vain of Pink Floyd, Portishead, The Cure and Electric Light Orchestra. Please keep checking back here and at the official SOC website for more information on the release. July 24, 2011 AC GETS SOME LOVE FROM LIFETIME, VH1! Hey everyone! Awesome news! AC's song, "Cry" was just used in 2 television shows! One being the VH1 show, "Audrina: Uncharted", and the other, Lifetime's new hit show, "Dance Moms". You can see the "Dance Moms" episode (entitled "Wildly Inappropriate") for a limited time on the Lifetime site. Even cooler--they choreographed a beautiful dance solo to it! In other news, AC just finished the music video for her song, "Get Used To It". The video, which took over a month to piece together is a compilation of clips sent in to AC by fans, and it was edited by AC herself! Check it out here!
